Volunteers just cleared a Commercial Structure Fire assisting Station 6-South Brownsville VFC. Ladder 1, Tanker 1, Rescue 1 & Squad 1 responded. Ladder 1 was used to protect exposures, Tanker 1 provided water supply and Rescue 1 stood by for Any area calls from the Borough. All Units Cleared without incident. CALL#2019-72

Per West Penn Power on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 there will be a planned power outage to upgrade facilities. The outage will affect 170 customers in the vicinity of Hartley Hill Rd, Ralph Rd, and Summit St in Hibbs, PA. The service interruption is planned from approximately 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the planned outage will be rescheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Customers will be notified of the outage via an automated phone message. Customers with questions can call the contact center at 800-686-0021.

Volunteers recently cleared off a 3 Vehicle Accident with entrapment with multiple injuries, assisting Station 13 - Edenborn VFD. Rescue 1 and Squad 1 responded. Our Volunteers were assigned to stabilization and assisting with extrication. We were able to utilize our #Rescue42 Stabilization Struts as well as ours and Edenborn VFDs Genesis Rescue Systems E-Force Spreaders & Cutters (Pictures not shown due to graphic content) Other Responding Departments - Station 13- Edenborn VFD, Station 26- McClellandtown VFC, Station 18 - Footedale VFD, Station 25 - Masontown VFD, Fayette EMS & UPMC Response Vehicle. Our Volunteers are always looking for innovative ways to better provide for our Community! Today, we placed a Stihl MSA 200C Battery Powered Chainsaw into Service on our Ladder Truck! We were in need of a new Ventilation Saw and wanted something that required less regular maintenance and would be easier to deploy in a Structure Fire! We Thank our Dedicated Volunteers for all their hard work at Fundraisers!

Volunteers handled two Non-Emergency runs today. First was assisting German Township Supervisors with our Tanker to wash a road down and fill water barricades in the Adah area, due to a land slide. The Second Run of the day was a Flooded Basement in the Village Of Ralph. Brush 1 & Squad 1 responded.

All Units Cleared without Incident.

Volunteers just cleared from a Structure Fire in the Village Of Gates. 1 Chief on scene confirming working Structure Fire. 49 Engine was first unit on scene, making the initial attack. Hydrant was layed by a Mutual Aid Department. Shortly after, Hydrant failed and on-scene Tankers had to be used, as well as additional units called in. German Township Police on scene as well as the State Police Fire Marshall. Ladder 1, Tanker 1 & Rescue 1 responded

Volunteers just cleared an Oil Spill in the Village Of Adah. Rescue 1 & Squad 1 responded. The leak was contained at all storm drains and the affected snow was transferred to another location by the German Township Road Crew. Department of Environmental Protection was notified as well as the Fayette County Hazmat Team. The source of the leak was unknown, possibly from an Oil Truck that left the scene. All Units Cleared without incident. CALL#2019-023
