Guitar Instruction by Jace Hyde

After attending his first concert in the fall of 1976 Jace knew he was destined for guitar greatness. He auditioned for his first band in the winter of 1981 and started playing on the local circuit shortly thereafter. After a few name changes and a few personell changes, his band, Back Street Kids, was ready to go on the road. Heavily influenced by groups such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Aerosmith and Alice Cooper, the group quickly attained local distinction as both an outstanding cover and original band. Between 1981 and 1985 the band continued to tour locally as well as with national recording artists such as Kix, Bon Jovi, Poison, Twisted Sister, Foghat, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Henry Rollins and the Misfits, among others. They also won The York Fair's "Best of the Bands" competition. During this time, Jace also began teaching part-time at Link's Music. Since the disbandment of Back Street Kids, Jace has devoted himself full-time to the development of his students. He currently teaches all styles of beginner to advanced guitar and bass, as well as beginner and intermediate banjo.
