I just finished this customers “corona quilt”. The quilting design is called Script. As long as a quilter has fabric and a sewing machine we don’t mind being quarantined. Wine and chocolate are good too.

Sometimes when you pack one comes across a project you bought 10 years ago. I decided this seemed like a good time to make it. I love how it’s turning out and the high contrast in the colors plus the secondary design it makes. All the scraps will make two other quilts. Directions for using the cut away scraps are in the book. I’ll share when they are made.

Took this off the longarm this morning. Sure was fun. Sometimes straight line stitching is best. Sure do hate it when I get it off the longarm and see I missed two lines. Back on it goes.

This morning I finished this table runner and placement called #miteredmagic. This pattern uses a stripe and I was interested in how it went together. Interesting but think I’d pick a different stripe next time.

Just finished this customer quilt this morning. This pattern, Lucky Stars is a favorite. The stars float so you don’t have to worry about chopping off the points. Well done!

Today I finished this beautiful king size quilt. I started this quilt just because I loved the fabrics and the pattern. My neighbor wanted to buy it but wanted it to be king size. I had enough fabric left over to add a piano key border and make it a king. I also was able to make a few pillows to go with the quilt. I love when a project comes together. There are no scraps left behind.

I tried a new pattern called “flipping out” by Annie. I like it and is great for storing items like makeup and markers. Just zip it up for storage or travel. When using it the top flips down foe easy access. I’ll be making more in assorted fabrics.

This past year i worked on making this scrappy king size quilt from my stash. It’s finally finished. I don’t usually make large quilts but this one was fun to work on. I’m very happy with the end product.

This fabric made very pretty zipper pouches. So thankful for a large fabric stash. If anyone runs out of thread or needles I could do a front porch drop.

It’s business as usual at Kappes Kreations. If you have quilt tops that need quilting, feel free to bring them over. When one quilts, there are always projects to do and no need for boredom. I’m hoping to finish bindings on two king size quilts this week. Taking movie recommendations for that job.
