"The PCI Way" are the 30 fundamental values that are central to the way we work.

Each week, PCI team members learn more about a different value. To facilitate this, an email written by an employee is sent on Sunday which describes what this value means to them. A weekly reminder is sent to all staff to reinforce the importance of the value. Finally, supervisors take the time to encourage discussion about the value in the weekly meeting with their team.

This is the value for the week starting on 10/21

The PCI Way #13 -- Look ahead and anticipate

Work smart and plan your work. Be organized and solve problems before they happen by anticipating future needs and questions. Know the customers' needs before they do. Avoid the mistakes caused by lack of preparation or last minute actions.

Be willing to ask questions, share ideas, or raise issues that may cause conflict when it's necessary for team success. Be courageous enough to say what needs to be said. Address issues directly with those who are involved or affected.

The PCI Way #8 -- Practice blameless problem solving

Demonstrate a relentless solution focus, rather than pointing fingers or dwelling on problems. Attack the problem, not the person. Identify lessons learned and use those lessons to improve ourselves and our processes so we don't make the same mistake twice. Get smarter with every mistake an learn from every experience.
