Help me embrace a little child Before it is too late Or save an older person from The horror of that fate Enable me to be alert, and oh Lord, guide my every move, for life is so precious, please don't let us loose. I want to fill my calling and To give the best in me To guard my every neighbor And protect their property And if according to thy will, That I must give my life, Then with thy protecting hand my Lord, I pray thee, protect my children and my wife. Amen

First of all we would like to thank everyone for doing their part during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of our actions it appears we will be returning to some sense of normality starting this weekend. By all means this does not mean this over. We still need to practice personal protection via masks and good hygiene. With that being said starting next week Venango VFD will start training again and will have our May meeting. We ask members who are sick to stay home. We completely understand that we have some members who may not feel comfortable being around groups of people and that is justified. At the Venango VFD we will be working in small groups on drill nights 5 or 6 people doing one thing 5 or 6 doing another. Also, as for our meetings, May's meeting will be held in the truck bay where can spread out a bit and practice social distancing.

Again thank you everyone for making the sacrifices necessary to get to this point.

Thank you!

The members of the Venango Volunteer Fire Department are committed to the safety and welfare of the Venango and Cambridge Springs communities in which we are called to serve. We strive to ensure the best possible care and services to the community that can be provided. If you have an emergency we will come and assist you. We would like to take this moment to point out a couple changes that you may witness during the COVID-19 outbreak.

1. Unless there is a fire you will only be in contact with two firefighters, unless more are needed. This is to limit exposure to you and our firefighters.

2. Don’t be worried if the firefighters you meet, keep their distance or are wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, mask, safety glasses and/or gown.

3. If you are exhibiting symptoms or have been in contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 please relay that information to the 911 dispatcher. We will still respond to your emergency, but will take special precautions to protect ourselves.

If you should have any non-emergency questions please feel free to message the department page. Thank you!
